In the last year, Mexico has had to deal with the threats that come from the United States on tariff issues and mass deportations, whether they have been fulfilled or not, or have done so in part. Much of the pressure has fallen in the north of the country, where returnees arrive and where maquiladoras are the first to suffer the tariffs.
