The City of Rock Island will hold the 2nd Annual Open House from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 4 in front of its police and fire stations on 5th Avenue between 12th and 14th streets.Bring your family to meet Rock Island’s first responders; tour the fire department; and climb inside a fire engine, ambulance, police car, police UTV, one of the city’s new snowplows and a bucket truck.There will be demonstrations by K-9 Officer Blue.
