City asks residents to cut non-essential water use

Due to the heavy amounts of rain over the last two days, the City of Beaumont issued an alert and a series of updates yesterday and today, asking residents to cut non-essential water use. This is due to the city’s wastewater system being used to capacity, and flooding and sewer backups occurring in some neighbourhoods and homes.
