Japan to Base New F-35A Squadron at Chitose as Defense Modernization Accelerates
Japan’s Ministry of Defense (MoD) has confirmed plans to establish a new F-35A Lightning II squadron at Chitose Air Base in Hokkaido, marking another major step in the country’s fleet modernization and regional defense expansion.
