Chinese archaeologists, who have begun excavation work for the first time in Yoğunburç as part of the "Stone Hills Project" in Şanlıurfa, are investigating traces of Neolithic life dating back to the same period as Göbeklitepe and Karahantepe. During the excavations, which are being carried out in an area of approximately 22 acres, finds such as beads, flint, and wild boar teeth have been unearthed.
Chinese archaeologists are working intensively to unearth Neolithic remains in Yoğunburç, Karaköprü district of Şanlıurfa.
Chinese archaeologist Prof. Dr. Gan Caichao:
"The Şanlıurfa region is one of the most important Neolithic sites. We want to uncover very good things in this excavation."
