China firmly opposes the so-called voluntary restrictions on China's hybrid vehicle exports to Europe, as it gravely violates World Trade Organization rules and runs counter to market economy rules and fair competition principles, a Ministry of Commerce spokesperson said on Friday.
The spokesman for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Guo Jiakun said at a press conference that Beijing respects the rules of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) and provides businesses in all countries with a fair, equitable and non-discriminatory business environment.
