8-Year-Old Dies Following ATV Crash in Northern Ont.
An eight-year-old died after being ejected in a two-ATV collision; the Ontario Provincial Police are investigating with the Traffic Incident Management Enforcement team.
- On September 26, 2025 at around 7 p.m., two All Terrain Vehicles collided in a field on Cloudslee Road in Plummer Additional Township, ejecting an eight-year-old child who was later pronounced deceased in Thessalon.
- The scene sits about 60 kilometres east of Sault Ste., in a rural area where the collision occurred in a field on Cloudslee Road in Plummer Additional Township.
- Responders at the scene included East Algoma OPP and Algoma Paramedic Services, who attended the injured child after the ATVs collided and ejected the child, the OPP said in a news release.
- The OPP continues to investigate the collision as an active case, with the Traffic Incident Management Enforcement team assisting the probe, officials said.
- A post-mortem examination is scheduled to take place in Sudbury at a later date as part of the investigation, and the OPP continues to investigate.
