Chicopee: ‘Abundance of paper towels’ flushed by US Tsubaki employees clogs city sewer lines

CHICOPEE — For over a year, a manufacturing company in Chicopee has flushed an excessive amount of paper towels down its toilets, clogging up the city’s pump station, city documents show.U.S. Tsubaki Automotive LLC, on Lonczak Street near the Westover Air Reserve Base, was found in “significant non-compliance” with the city in 2025 over a backup of paper towels in sanitary pipes, a recent letter from the city’s Department of Public Works said.
