‘Chicago Med’ Gives Major Will & Natalie Update
The episode also confirms the couple’s newborn son is Patrick James Halstead, who weighed 9 pounds, 4 ounces at birth.
The penultimate episode of Chicago Med Season revealed a major update regarding former staff Drs. Will Halstead and Natalie Manning: their son, Patrick James Halstead, was born weighing nine pounds, four ounces.
Will visited Chicago from Seattle with Natalie's son, Owen, revealing her pregnancy at 20 weeks, though tensions surfaced when Will expressed a desire to legally adopt Owen.
During the visit, Will was pulled into a medical case that went awry, resulting in Owen being shot; Natalie, despite risks to her pregnancy, donated a kidney to save him.
Everyone survived, leaving the characters in a stable place; actress Torrey DeVitto told Insider she felt "good about how Med left Natalie this time," noting "I feel like there's better closure to it now."
The episode featured nurse Maggie Lockwood, whom Hannah referenced during a patient interaction, as Maggie stepped away between seasons and Doris has taken over her role as charge nurse.
