- On Friday, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police arrested Oscar Solarzano, 33, after a Lynx Blue Line stabbing and charged him with attempted first-degree murder; the victim was hospitalized and Solarzano is due in court Monday, December 8.
- Investigators say Solarzano broke into a rail car on the Lynx Blue Line with a large fixed-blade knife and, while intoxicated, shouted and challenged Kenyon Kareem-Shemar Dobie before the attack around 4:50 p.m. Friday.
- A Mecklenburg District Court judicial official marked Oscar Solarzano as 'an illegal' who 'has been deported previously' and noted bond limits under Mecklenburg County rules.
- After being interviewed, Solarzano was moved into Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office custody and is set for Immigration and Customs Enforcement transfer post-Dec. 8 hearing; officials urged witnesses to call Charlotte Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
