The case was decided this Wednesday morning at the Dijon Administrative Court. The rules of procedure of the Chalon City Council are valid and do not allow a veiled elected woman to sit. Sabrina Sari, who wears the veil, is to be installed at her elected post on Saturday.
On Wednesday 18 March, the administrative court of Dijon approved the decree of the mayor of Chalon-sur-Saône, Gilles Platret, prohibiting the ostensible religious signs in municipal council. Two elected LFIs, Damien Saley and Lamia Sabrina Sari, who challenged this measure, were rejected.
