Central Great Falls outage moved to Sept. 16 for power upgrade
Crews will replace aging substation equipment during the overnight shutdown, and NorthWestern Energy said customers will get automated outage notices.
NorthWestern Energy rescheduled an overnight power outage in central Great Falls to midnight through 5 a.m. on September 16.
The outage will impact customers north of 10th Avenue South to 3rd Avenue South and west of 16th Street South to 3rd Street South.
Affected customers will receive an automated phone call warning them before the outage.
The outage is to upgrade aging substation equipment to maintain reliable electric service, and customers are urged to verify their phone numbers for updates.
