The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey has released the August 2026 Housing Price Index (HPI) and New Tenant Rent Index (NTRI) data! While the Housing Price Index increased by 23 percent annually, it decreased by 6.5 percent in real terms. The New Tenant Rent Index, on the other hand, showed an annual increase of 26.4 percent.
The highest annual increase in housing prices was observed in Bingöl, Elazığ, Malatya, Tunceli, Van, Bitlis, Hakkari and Muş regions with 27%. In the new tenant rent index, the highest year-on-year increase was recorded in Istanbul with 34.5 percent in August, while the lowest increase was 17.3 percent in Edirne, Kırklareli and Tekirdağ regions.
