- Of the 48 cattle on the truck, Colorado State Patrol officials reported 10 were found dead and 29 were found alive, while Nine cattle remain unaccounted for following the crash.
- Three additional semitrailers and one passenger vehicle struck cattle spilled on the highway, according to Trooper Hunter Mathews, resulting in One minor injury and requiring vehicle tows.
- Paramedics transported the driver to the hospital, though injury extent remained unknown, while I-76 reopened in both directions between Hillrose and Merino by 9:30 a.m. after cleanup.
- State Transportation officials lifted related closures on either side of the crash, including westbound I-76 between Merino and Hillrose, as Investigators continue reviewing the incident.
