Cat rescued after surviving 8 hours inside car engine alone
A cat named Nala survived trapped inside the engine of a red Peugeot in Walsall, West Midlands for eight hours.
Nala suffered a serious injury to her right forelimb while wedged in the car's pulley system.
The cat was discovered after smoke appeared and warning lights flashed on the dashboard around 8 a.m. on August 16.
RSPCA officer Cara Gibbon said the vehicle's heat may have helped save Nala by cauterizing her wound, and rescuers removed part of the wheel arch to free her for emergency care.
