In March, a Class B1 FM airing Classic Country music under the “NASH Icon” brand went dark, concluding its service to the Bloomington-Normal, Ill., area from Pontiac, Ill. The station’s owner, Cumulus Media, thought the underperformer would be better as a silent facility than a money-loser. Casson Media Acquires WJBC-FM From Cumulus
Cumulus Media has found a buyer for one of the over twenty stations it took silent in March. Kent Casson’s Casson Media will purchase the former Classic Country “93.7 Nash Icon” WJBC-FM Pontiac IL for $90,000. Casson operates the Central Illinois Farm Network, the streaming Full Service “Route 24 Radio“, and a few local news websites.
