Ng Kin-wai, a former Yuen Long District Councillor who was sentenced to five years and seven months in prison in the Hong Kong pan-democratic primary election case, was released from prison on September 25, the Mid-Autumn Festival, after serving his full sentence. He is the 22nd person to be released among the 45 people convicted and imprisoned in the case, with 23 people still incarcerated.
