Electric cars are no longer welcome on Carrefour's parking roofs in Belgium. The supermarket chain fears that the higher weight of electric vehicles could cause problems for older parking structures. Potential battery fires also play a role. These are more difficult to extinguish on top of a building, reports the Flemish public broadcaster VRT.
