Queen Silvia, Crown Princess Victoria and other royals wore historic jewels as Sweden marked King Carl XVI Gustaf’s 80th birthday with a state banquet.
On Thursday, King Carl XVI Gustaf hosted a formal banquet where Queen Silvia wore the historic Braganza Tiara, a centerpiece among the Swedish Royal Jewels since the mid-19th century.
Crown Princess Victoria attended wearing the Connaught Diamond Tiara, a Swedish royal heirloom created by E. Wolff & Co. for Garrard in 1904, while Princess Sofia arrived with her husband, Prince Carl Philip.
Queen Mathilde chose the Laurel Wreath Tiara for the evening, a sparkler featuring 631 diamonds in a laurel design that can be worn as a tiara or a necklace.
