Canada tops Italy 11-3 to win bronze at world mixed doubles curling championship
The married duo from Gimli earned Canada’s first world mixed doubles medal since 2019 after an 11-3 win over Italy.
On Saturday in GENEVA, Canada's Kadriana Lott and Colton Lott from Gimli, Man., defeated Italy's Stefania Constantini and Amos Mosaner 11-3 to win bronze at the world mixed doubles curling championship.
Canada's 89 per cent shooting accuracy outpaced Italy's 65 per cent, with the team capitalizing on two four-enders and one three-ender to force concession after the sixth end.
Celebrating her first career world medal, Kadriana Lott said, "Just super proud of us, and I," while Colton Lott noted they capitalized on early pressure to secure victory.
This bronze marks Canada's first world championship medal since 2019, and represents Colton Lott's second international podium of the 2025-26 season after winning silver with Team Matt Dunstone.
Australia's Tahli Gill and Dean Hewitt claimed gold, defeating Sweden's Therese Westman and Robin Ahlberg 8-4 in the tournament's final match.
