Canada advances to Hlinka Gretzky Cup final with 6-3 win over Finland

On Friday, Canada advanced to the Hlinka Gretzky Cup final by defeating Finland 6-3, scoring twice early in the third period to break a 2-2 deadlock.
Finland dominated early play, with Olli Kylmala scoring on a power play at 5:46 of the opening period; Canada responded by outshooting the Finns 34-25 overall.
Benjamin Veitch scored twice for Canada, with Malik, Landon DuPont, Jaakko Wycisk, and Kayden Stroeder adding singles. Goaltender Leif Oaten stopped 22 of 25 shots to preserve the win.
Canada will face the United States for the gold medal on Saturday, after The Americans defeated Slovakia 5-2 in Friday's other semifinal.
