Cadbury's 'Unexpected' New Dairy Milk Chocolate Bar Flavour Is Dividing Opinions
The 180g limited-edition bar pairs Cadbury chocolate with a pink watermelon fondant center and extends into a cosmetics collection, the companies said.
Cadbury launched a limited-edition Dairy Milk Watermelon bar in Australia featuring a pink fondant center. The 180g chocolate bar is now available at Woolworths stores through collaboration with Australian cosmetics brand MCoBeauty.
The 180g chocolate bar draws inspiration from MCoBeauty's Watermelon Glow product range. The partnership extends beyond chocolate to include a Cadbury-themed eyeshadow palette, lip peptide treatment, and an Icons Collection featuring mascara, eyeliner, pressed powder and a setting puff.
Katrina Watson, ANZ director of chocolate and meals at Cadbury, said the collaboration was designed to "spark conversation." MCoBeauty marketing head Lucy Robinson added, "So when the opportunity came to bring the iconic Cadbury Dairy Milk experience into beauty, it was an easy yes."
The launch has divided opinions online among consumers. One user told NewfoodsUK they were "Not sure how I feel about this!!!" while another wrote, "Gosh, I would actually try this!!!"
There has been no announcement regarding a release outside Australia. Fans wanting to try the bar can order imported versions from specialist retailer World Snacks, where it is priced at £7.99.
