News-Tribune, Aug. 15, 1926 Duluth police arrested a young woman dressed in men’s clothes going by the name John D. Kellogg. Police said she was from Iowa and had been forced to forego her studies as a nurse because of a lack of funds. She was traveling with a man who was also arrested.
