The measure shall be valid for up to 180 days and may be extended exceptionally once for a further 90 days only if the reasons for the intervention persist.
Bolivian President Rodrigo Paz decreed the intervention of the state oil company for up to 180 days in order to improve control, import and distribution of fuel in the midst of protests over the shortage of diesel that challenge the state of emergency in force in the country.
