Eight months after its grand launch, the AES Bank has still not disbursed its first funds. Inaugurated on December 23, 2025, in Bamako by the heads of state of Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger, the Confederal Bank for Investment and Development (BCID-AES) was presented as the financial arm of the Confederation.
