Sébastien Lecornu promises an additional EUR 1.5 billion to the departments in the 2027 budget and proposes to allocate part of the CSG to them.
In a letter sent on Monday 28 September to the presidents of the department and to which "Le Monde" has had access, the Prime Minister promises an additional 1.5 billion euros. He starts a turning point by opening the way for a transfer of the generalised social contribution (CSG) to these communities.
The Prime Minister announces an unprecedented financial support to the departments, including a share of CSG, as part of the draft budget 2027 presented on Thursday.
In a letter to the presidents of departments on Monday 28 September, Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu promises them an additional EUR 1.5 billion, just a few days from his presentation in the Council of Ministers.
