North Korea Is Testing Swarm Attacks
“North Korea has started practicing swarm attacks that combine unmanned systems with conventional weapons, adopting tactics already used in Ukraine and the Middle East that could challenge U.S. and allied air defenses,” the Wall Street Journal reports.
In the event of fighting on the Korean peninsula, such attacks by the DPRK could depleting South Korea ' s air defence forces.
The exercises were supposed to work out the interaction between the various weapons systems by means of a concentrated fire.
Pyongyang is developing tactics similar to those used in the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East, using swarms of drones and missiles simultaneously. Such attacks have overwhelmed Western air defense systems.
North Korea is learning from the war in Ukraine and arming itself. The world needs to see this connection while there is still time, said Kirill Budanov, head of Ukrainian military intelligence, in an interview with Newsforce.
