Bucks Make It Official by Announcing the Hiring of Former Grizzlies Coach Taylor Jenkins
Taylor Jenkins returns to Milwaukee after posting a 250-214 record with the Memphis Grizzlies and four playoff trips.
On Thursday, April 30, 2026, the Milwaukee Bucks officially hired Taylor Jenkins as head coach, a week after reports surfaced of an agreement.
Doc Rivers resigned earlier this month after three seasons, leaving the Bucks with a 32-50 record and marking their first playoff miss in nine seasons.
Jenkins compiled a 250-214 record over six seasons coaching the Memphis Grizzlies and previously served as a Bucks assistant in 2018-19, helping the team win 60 games.
A public news conference will introduce him at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, at the Milwaukee Art Museum on the city's lakefront.
Much speculation surrounds two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo's future, as he is eligible for a four-year, $275 million contract extension in October.
