Buccaneers select WR Ted Hurst in 3rd round of the 2026 NFL Draft
Hurst set a Georgia State record with 9 receiving touchdowns in 2024 and became the program's highest NFL draft pick.
On Friday, April 24, 2026, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected Georgia State wide receiver Ted Hurst with the 84th overall pick in the third round of the NFL Draft.
Hurst transferred from Valdosta State to Georgia State, becoming the school's highest-drafted player ever and surpassing Christo Bilukidi, the program's previous best-drafted Panther in its 16-year history.
With a Relative Athletic Score of 9.90, Hurst ranks 41st out of 4,196 evaluated receivers since 1987, posting a 4.42 40-yard dash and an 11'3" broad jump at the NFL Scouting Combine.
General Manager Jason Licht identified Hurst as the highest-rated player available on the board, addressing wide receiver depth following Mike Evans' departure to San Francisco.
Hurst arrives in Tampa Bay with 1,965 receiving yards and 15 total touchdowns from his two seasons at Georgia State under head coach Dell McGee and wide receivers coach Dameyune Craig.
