Bruins Allow Four Unanswered Goals, Fall to Wild for First Loss of Season

On Saturday, the Minnesota Wild defeated the Boston Bruins 4-1 at Grand Casino Arena, handing Boston their first loss of the season.
Tanner Jeannot scored early to put Boston ahead, but the Wild mounted a rally powered by special teams dominance and 26 saves from goalie Jesper Wallstedt.
Kirill Kaprizov led the offense with two goals including an empty-netter, while Quinn Hughes and Jared Spurgeon also scored as Minnesota capitalized on two of three power-play opportunities.
Boston struggled to convert on three power-play chances, while goalie Michael DiPietro made 26 saves in his first start since January 23, 2022, with Vancouver.
Minnesota travels to Buffalo on Tuesday to begin a three-game road trip, with a 6 p.m. CT opening faceoff scheduled for the team's first extended road excursion.
