Brits travelling to Europe warned as new EES travel rule comes into force
Brits travelling to Europe will use the EES to enter or leave 29 countries in Europe’s Schengen area.
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) warns that the removal of the temporary mitigation option for biometric checks after September 6 could lead to longer waiting times at European borders. Airlines are therefore calling on the European Union to maintain the possibility of flexible implementation of the EES system at least until the end of the winter season.
