NBC Cancels 'Brilliant Minds,' 'Stumble'
NBC will air the last six episodes starting May 27 after both shows posted weak linear ratings and missed renewal thresholds.
- NBC has canceled the medical drama Brilliant Minds and the comedy Stumble, ending their runs after two and one seasons respectively as both ranked among the network's least watched scripted series.
- Starring Zachary Quinto, Brilliant Minds struggled with linear ratings, averaging just above 3 million viewers before NBC pulled the series from its schedule in February following steep year-to-year declines.
- Mockumentary comedy Stumble, starring Jenn Lyon, averaged 2.24 million viewers and failed to attract a wide enough audience for renewal despite receiving strong critical scores of 82% and 96% on Rotten Tomatoes.
- NBC will release Brilliant Minds' final six episodes beginning May 27, while Stumble concluded its run in March with no additional episodes planned.
- With these cancellations, NBC retains Law & Order and The Hunting Party on the bubble while awaiting word on midseason entry The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins; the network also ordered eight pilots for next season.
