Inclement weather forced the postponement of the Milwaukee Brewers' game against the Cardinals at Busch Stadium on Tuesday, May 5, with rain and thunderstorms forecasted throughout the evening.
The Cardinals wrote in an official announcement, "The Cardinals and Brewers will make up tonight's game." The makeup occurs July 7th at Busch Stadium as a split doubleheader.
On May 6, Milwaukee RHP Brandon Sproat faces St. Louis LHP Matthew Liberatore to conclude the current series at Busch Stadium.
The Cardinals face a 13-game stretch without a day off, requiring travel to San Diego for a series beginning May 7 against the San Diego Padres.
Brewers reliever Angel Zerpa will undergo elbow surgery, missing the rest of 2026, while Jacob Misiorowski starts against the Yankees following an off-day May 8.
