Oil prices continued to rise and returned to the level of the previous year, while Iran was constantly affected by global crude oil flows.
The price of US light oil West Texas Intermediate (WTI) rose above $100 per barrel (2088 crowns) on Thursday for the first time since May, up nearly five percent at 2:45 p.m. CEST. North Sea Brent crude oil then showed a rise of more than four percent, getting above $105 a barrel. The escalation of the conflict in the Middle East is contributing to the rise in prices.

With the conflict surrounding Yemen intensifying in addition to the war between the U.S. and Iran, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil surpassed $100 per barrel on the 10th (local time), following Brent crude. At the New York Mercantile Exchange, as of 8:57 a.m. on that day, October delivery WTI futures were trading at $100.29, up 4.3% from the previous session.
