A 13-year-old boy has been arrested after West Midlands Police recovered a machete in Northfield.

A 13-year-old boy was arrested on Sunday (3rd April) when he was found carrying a machete in a Northfield street. Officers from West Midlands Police’s Guardian Taskforce stopped the boy on Taysfield Road and recovered the machete. He was arrested and has been referred to a YOT (Youth Offending Team), where work will begin with the aim of preventing re-offending.
