A huge sunspot is visible to the naked eye • Strong solar flares can cause auroras even over the Czech Republic at night • You must always use certified protective glasses when directly observing the Sun
The Sun's magnetic field has caused a huge spot on its surface, which can be observed very well in the coming days. The Brno Observatory warned on its website that although this is a spectacle unseen in the last decade, observers should definitely not forget to protect their eyes. And they should be able to withstand it. The spot marked 4294-4296 will be seen more and more clearly as the days go by.
