'Bob's Burgers' Voice Actor Eugene Mirman Is 'Back in Life' After Fiery Crash
Mirman says he is back performing after breaking his wrist, ribs and suffering a concussion in the crash.
- On Tuesday, comedian Eugene Mirman released his first stand-up special in a decade, "Here Comes The Whimsy," on YouTube's Pretty Good Friends channel, making the previously Veeps-exclusive special widely available for streaming.
- The release follows Mirman's recovery from a fiery March 31, 2026, accident on New Hampshire's Everett Turnpike, where his 2026 Lucid Gravity struck the Bedford Toll Plaza and caught fire before a state trooper pulled him from the wreckage.
- Mirman sustained a broken wrist, fractured ribs, and a concussion during the crash, yet returned to recording sessions for "Bob's Burgers" within weeks, thanking Fox and Disney for their support.
- Describing his survival as "incredibly lucky," Mirman said he has avoided watching footage of the crash and plans to incorporate the experience into upcoming stand-up material, deeming it "odd to not mention it."
- To promote the special, Mirman's team created whimsical gift packages including custom obituary writing services, and he is scheduled to appear at Dynasty Typewriter on May 12 following recent promotional work with co-star Kristen Schaal.
