The Colombian authorities have taken the decision to cancel the agreement on the flexible credit line granted by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) that Colombia has maintained since April 2024, according to the Banco de la República (the Colombian central bank).
The announcement of the termination of this flexible line of credit opens up a panorama in which the country is called to make adjustments in fiscal matters.
The decision was by majority: 4 members voted to maintain it, 2 to reduce it 50 basis points and one to a decrease of 25 basis points.
