BMW reaches 2m total BEV sales, with new iX3 driving growth
BMW Group has reached a key milestone in its electrification journey, this month delivering its two millionth fully-electric vehicle across its BMW and MINI brands. Including plug-in hybrids, the total number of 'electrified' vehicles it has delivered rises to 3.5 million.
Since the debut of the original i3 13 years ago, BMW has sold two million electric cars. Over the first half of this year, it has consolidated the growth trend of these engines.
The BMW Group has, according to its own statement, reached a significant sales milestone: Two million all-electric vehicles have been delivered to customers since the market launch of the first BMW i3 at the end of 2013. Including plug-in hybrids, the number of electrified BMW and Mini vehicles totals around 3.5 million units worldwide.
