A week after an announcement-laden BlizzCon 2026, and days after what appears to be an enormously popular beta for World of Warcraft: Forever, cuts at Blizzard by Xbox are said to be "imminent".
Xbox announced an additional 268 layoffs on September 22, but Blizzard was not included in this round, according to an internal email. Shortly before, Bloomberg's Jason Schreier had said that Blizzard's layoffs were "imminent."
