Eight people have been taken to hospital after a coach caught fire on the M25 near Leatherhead.
The fire broke out yesterday afternoon on the anticlockwise carriageway, with passengers safely getting off the coach as smoke filled the area. Emergency crews, including fire, police and ambulance teams, rushed to the scene between Junctions 9 and 8. Drivers faced major delays as repairs were carried out following the incident.
After the tragedy last Friday, professional bodies immediately reviewed the current closures on the M1 motorway.
