When Harry Met Sally Co-Stars to Reunite for Rob Reiner Oscars Tribute: Report
Billy Crystal will speak and Meg Ryan will join other collaborators to honor late filmmaker Rob Reiner during the Oscars In Memoriam segment.
On March 15, the 98th Academy Awards at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood will feature Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan reuniting onstage during the In Memoriam segment to honor Rob Reiner.
Rob Reiner, director, and Michele Singer Reiner, photographer and wife, were found dead with multiple sharp force injuries in their Brentwood, California home in December 2025 at ages 78 and 70.
The awards broadcast will air live on ABC and stream on Hulu, with Oscars producers making changes and discussing Barbra Streisand singing a tribute to Robert Redford.
Nick Reiner has been charged with two counts of first‑degree murder, pleaded not guilty, and is held without bond while prosecutors allege enhancements; a court date is set for April 29, 2026.
Variety reported the In Memoriam segment will look back at those who died in the past year, and Us Weekly reached out to the Academy for comment, with Crystal reportedly emotional at the scene.
Actors Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan, known for starring in the movie When Harry met Sally, will gather during the 98th Oscar Awards ceremony to pay homage to filmmaker Rob Reiner in the In Memoriam segment.
