The Bihar Cabinet has approved the establishment of the state’s first dedicated women’s university, Maa Sita Women’s University, in Patna. The university will be set up under the Bihar Specialised Universities Act, 2026. The cabinet also cleared Ramdhari Singh Dinkar University in Begusarai and several proposals related to policing, health and dairy development.
