Golden Buzzer Sends Liverpool BGT Act Straight to the Final
LMA secured a place in the final after Alesha Dixon used her only golden buzzer of the semi-final.
Singer Alesha Dixon awarded the golden buzzer to the 66-person dance group Sadeck Berrabah & LMA from Liverpool Media Academy on Saturday's second Britain's Got Talent semi-final, securing their spot in the final.
The ITV talent show returned for its second of five live semi-finals, where eight acts performed for a final spot. Each judge controls the golden buzzer once per episode, granting one act automatic passage.
Dixon called the group a "breath of fresh air" before Simon Cowell described the performance as "gobsmackingly beautiful" and "stunning," calling it the best act he had seen this series.
LMA advances directly to the final without needing the public vote, while other semi-finalists must rely on viewers' votes to progress to the competition's closing stage.
Three semi-finals remain after Saturday's episode, with live shows airing Saturdays until May 23. The eventual Britain's Got Talent winner receives £250,000 and performs at the Royal Variety Performance.
