Hyperprotein foods occupy a prominent place in French purchases. It is not because they are rich in protein that they are good for health, Foodwatch alert, whose survey shows that they are mostly ultra-processed.
"Too often, these protein products are all full of junk food," says the NGO, which studied the composition of ten references sold in supermarkets, all of which have ultra-transformation markers associated with health risks.
Vanished for their high protein content, these ultra-processed products contain many controversial additives, Foodwatch alert.
