After almost 65 hours of continuous running, Bert Verbist (40) from Zoersel won the Antwerp Backyard Ultra. The ultra-runner covered no less than 436 kilometers and braved heat, thunderstorms and extreme fatigue along the way. “The last night I even started hallucinating,” he says. “But stopping was not in my mind.”
