5.5 Miles of Roses and Waves: Here’s the 2026 Rose Parade Route, and some Rosey Parade Rules to Go with It
Colorado Boulevard will close from 10 p.m. Dec. 31 to 2 p.m. Jan. 1 for the Rose Parade and New Year’s Lululemon 5K, drawing thousands annually, officials said.
- On Tuesday, Dec. 31, Colorado Boulevard will close beginning at 10 p.m. and remain closed through cleanup until 2 p.m. Jan. 1 for the Rose Parade and the New Year’s Lululemon 5K.
- The Rose Parade tradition transforms the street annually into a floral spectacle spanning 5.5 miles from Green Street and Orange Grove to Villa Street, including a slow 2 1/2-miles-per-hour stretch on Orange Grove.
- Campers can claim curbside space starting at noon on Dec. 31, and all must stay on the curb until the 11 p.m. blue honor line; the 5.5-mile route includes a 2 1/2-mph stretch on Orange Grove before The Turn onto Colorado.
- Residents and merchants are advised to have guests arrive before 10 p.m. because access will be restricted, and the street will revert to regular four-wheeled vehicle traffic by 2 p.m. Jan. 1.
- Officials close Colorado Boulevard from Orange Grove to Sierra Madre and Sierra Madre north to Paloma Street early for parade staging; the New Year’s Lululemon 5K begins at midnight and parade viewing starts at 8 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2026.
