Bengals pick former St. X standout Brian Parker II in NFL draft
Parker started 13 games at right tackle last season and logged 2,335 offensive snaps in college, giving Cincinnati added line depth.
On Saturday, the Cincinnati Bengals selected Duke offensive lineman Brian Parker II with the 189th pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, addressing offensive line depth needs.
A Cincinnati native and St. Xavier High School graduate, Parker played at Duke from 2022-25, starting 33 games and logging over two thousand snaps at tackle during his college career.
The Athletic's draft expert Dane Brugler projects Parker as a versatile guard or center backup, noting "his athletic ability, competitive toughness and intelligence are traits needed for a long NFL career."
Returning to his hometown team, Parker expressed excitement about joining the Bengals, stating "it's one of the better feelings in the world" to play for Who Dey Nation.
To protect quarterback Joe Burrow, the Bengals targeted offensive line depth on Day 3, with Parker competing for roster spots alongside fourth-round selection Connor Lew.
