Ben-Gvir joins hundreds of Israelis to storm Al-Aqsa Mosque compound
Israeli police said 900 people entered the compound as Palestinian shopkeepers were forced to close businesses nearby.

- Dozens of Palestinian business owners in the Cotton Merchants Market were forced to close their shops during the holiday, the Association for Civil Rights in Israel reported.
- Palestinian presidential spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh denounced the incursion as "playing with fire and a dangerous provocation to the feelings of Muslims around the world," warning that Israel is seeking to ignite a "religious war."
- Since 2003, Israeli police have allowed daily group incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, excluding Fridays and Saturdays, while Israel often imposes restrictions on Palestinian worshippers at the site.
