A 17-year-old high school student accuses a police officer of keeping his head underwater during his arrest on Friday. The Vesoul Public Prosecutor's Office entrusted the investigation to the IGPN, while the teenager is himself charged with violence against police officers.
An investigation into attempted murder was opened and entrusted to the IGPN following a 17-year-old high school student's complaint against a police officer during a turbulent arrest in Belfort.

The teenager had filed a complaint on Sunday 4 October for "attempt to murder" the police officer and his hierarchy, stating that the police officer "had kept his head underwater", announced the Vesoul prosecutor on Wednesday.
According to the student's lawyer, Arié Alimi, the policeman allegedly tried to drown the minor while he was trying to interrogate him on Friday in the vicinity of a creek. The adolescent, charged with "aggravated violence" against the policeman after his arrest, is in pre-trial detention.
In France, a police intervention during high school student protests has been taken to court. A plainclothes police officer in Belfort, who a 17-year-old student alleges tried to drown by submerging his head in water, is facing an investigation for "attempted murder."
